Tree Planting

As a Partner in Action with the American Chestnut Foundation (TACF), the Churchville Lions Club presented an American Chestnut Tree to the Highlands School, located in Bel Air, on April 29th.  The presentation consisted of children singing the song, “Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree”, and the children helped shovel the dirt while the tree was being planted.  The tree planted at the school is the only one known to exist in Harford County.
